Hi! I’m Sabrina. I used to be a functional person, who had a good office job, enjoyed exercising frequently, and I even went to college for a short time. I had a few health issues, but I figured most people did, so I carried on trying to live life despite them. Eventually, I could no longer ignore them and I had to quit my job and address what my body what trying to tell me. I figured I’d get it all sorted out, and be able to go back to work and back to being a functional person.
That was in 2013, and I’ve since fallen down a rabbit hole of chronic health nonsense that I have yet to come out of. I have been formally diagnosed with endometriosis, Celiac disease, and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome.
My life has been interrupted. I like the word “interrupted” because it implies that what’s stopping me is only temporary, which I whole-heartedly believe. What I’m going through is far more complicated than I could have ever imagined, but I have hope that I’ll regain some of the functionality that I’ve lost.
I started this blog as a journal to express my thoughts about my strange journey (so that I don’t go absolutely crazy!), and hopefully as a way of relating to/helping others in similar situations.
